Jessica Gable (she/her), Program Manager

Jessica Gable is a journalist turned communications strategist with a decade of experience as a reporter, writer and public relations manager, having worked in newsrooms from Atlanta to Hong Kong.

As a broadcast reporter, Jessica always sought to elevate the voices of the disenfranchised or dispossessed. She brings a deep commitment to empowering frontline communities to own and control their narrative, partnering closely with journalists to ensure they have both the facts and the heart of a story.

She previously managed western communications campaigns for Food & Water Watch and served as press secretary for Sierra Club’s California energy work. Her favorite campaigns have sent her to the Central Valley to interview and assist members of a community running out of water because of fossil fuel extraction and industrial agriculture; guiding press on a toxics tour of a Ventura neighborhood plagued by a polluting gas compressor station; and advocating for clean transportation with San Bernardino residents at a California Air Resources Board meeting.

Jessica is also an actress and has appeared in TV and stage productions, including one where she met her husband, a director. In her free time, you can find Jessica traveling, reading or running.
